Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri admits Manuel Locatelli may not return before the end of the season and send his best wishes to former Bianconeri star Stefano Tacconi.

The Serie A giants meet Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium tomorrow. They have a five-point lead over fifth-placed Roma and can move closer to a top-four finish if they win tomorrow, as the Giallorossi lost against Inter yesterday.

“It’s an important game for them because it would be a prestigious result for them,” Allegri said at a press conference. “We need the right performance, otherwise we’d come out with broken bones.

“I still have a close bond with the Squinzi family, it’s always a pleasure to return there, even if sometimes they gave me a hard time,”  he continued.

“We haven’t reached the fourth place yet, but we have qualified for the Coppa Italia final, which is still a target. We’ll make our assessments at the end of the season.”

Juventus’ injury crisis in midfield continues as Arthur is unlikely to recover for tomorrow’s game, while Weston McKennie and Manuel Locatelli may not return before the end of the season.

“Arthur won’t recover; hopefully, he will be back against Venezia. I will decide who will play after the training. There will be a few changes,” Allegri admitted.

“McKennie ran a little yesterday, so he is improving, but the end of the season is close. Locatelli is still behind, I don’t know if he will be back before the end of the campaign. Adrien Rabiot is doing well, he is slowly coming close to scoring more goals. He is improving and has many years to do well in his career. De Ligt is fit and he can play, I must pick one between Bonucci and Chiellini.”

Allegri also sent a message to former Juventus goalkeeper Stefano Tacconi who is in critical condition in hospital after suffering an aneurysm.

“I want to send my best wishes to Stefano Tacconi, I hope he will recover soon,” Allegri said.

Juventus beat Fiorentina 2-0 on Sunday, qualifying for the Coppa Italia Final. It’s their last chance to win a trophy this season as their hopes to win the Scudetto seem to have vanished, being nine points behind leaders Inter with five games remaining.

  1. But @NOrata that is still a disgrace by Juve standards and you still have a squad much superior to that of Milan. The difference is you have a dunce for a coach better known as PhD Max, destroyer of football mankind.

  2. @Lord – we’ve been through this so I’m starting to doubt your ability to form long term memories. If Allegri has dunce players especially in midfield and the best players injured, I still can’t understand who you think he’s supposed to throw onto the pitch to do better. Since you can’t answer that and never have, you’re just trolling someone who’s infinitely more successful than your loser self. Your skill on Fifa online really doesn’t count.

  3. @NOrata the only loser is someone who cannot spell Morata as in your name. Nice pun on words but you still love him. Yes I am not a coach, just like you. But you forgot it is the paying fans, the ones who buy the merchandise, the tickets and the subscription fee to watch on TV that makes up the game. There is no PhD Max without fans so it is everyone’s right to defend or critique the dunce of world football. Simple answer ask Juventus to invest in a midfield. You think it is going to get better every year, but the same issues persist and you delude yourself into thinking great things can happen. You cannot make a cake without flour and Juve have had none for a long time. Also try getting PhD Max and yourself on PS5 as it might help you speed up your vision. Instead you and the Scholar of slow ball are playing on your Commodore 64.

  4. Ok I’ll try a new name in homage to yourself.
Again, you’ve not answered the question. You’ve said Get a new midfield which is correct. So basically without that, tactics mean nothing because Max is trying to sift through the deadwood he’s inherited. The blame rests on Agnelli and Paratici for decimating the midfield and then testing out Sarri without a real plan. From anything I’ve said, I’m not sure where you get the idea that I’m deluded about Juve. I’m actually pretty settled that this is a rebuilding phase that’s only just started and it should have happened 3 years ago. CR7 and a poor opposition masked cracks at Juve where we could win the league without really trying. I don’t think Juve have the resources to compete with oligarch bloodmoney so I also disagree that it’s about the fans. Not at all. It’s about rich owners and whether or not they will invest huge sums. Look at Milan without Berlusconi or any team in EPL. Good players cost a lot of money today and the richest clubs snap them up.

  5. @Lord – try as I might, they keep censoring my new attempted name. Suffice to say that you have a personal patron saint looking after you at Football Italia.

  6. Your own words “Again, you’ve not answered the question. You’ve said Get a new midfield which is correct”. Thank you for contradicting yourself.

  7. @Lord – No contradiction, I’m just thinking, wow, your answer is get a new midfield. How are you able to type and breathe at the same time? So genius, if that’s all that Allegri can do and he’s inherited this midfield and is slowly removing the deadwood which no-one will buy, what’s he supposed to do THIS SEASON where you’re accusing him of making poor decisions?
Congratulations on highlighting that you’re just a troll. Did Allegri have consensual relations with someone in your family?

  8. NOrata you spent £80M on one striker. That money should have been used on the midfield first and foremost as I always said. Zakaria is a good player but far more creativity is needed. Vlahovic like CR7 is all well and good but only if you have a supply line. The Ajax kindergarten still schooled PhD Max on a shoe string budget so do not use money as an excuse when it suits you. Also thanks for the insults, I am glad you are triggered. Calma as your grandad says with jacket tossed, dumped and thrown on the touchline on a weekly basis. As for trolling, funny how you want to create another name to escape your current name. FI will not allow it but here try this, PhD Max Commander The Back, Back, Down, Down lol.

  9. Samy Ibrahim hello nice to hear from you. Who are you by the way?

Can you form a coherent sentence?

I have seen you post here before but never bothered to reply to you as you are not relevant. As you are a dunce, fans have all the control and it seems you are for big money and not the people. They buy the merchandise, tickets and subscriptions. It is called a business model and without them such a business cannot exist. Why do you think Juve like other clubs were hard hit during the pandemic. Ticket sales bled clubs as they need people to watch. The club also pays salaries to those working at the stadium and in the club. Football clubs are an organisation and not just about paying 22 players. I hope that helps with your lack of knowledge. Now calma as your grandad always says and now go suck your thumb lol.
