Earlier today Marcello Lippi picked the Rossoneri and Napoli as realistic Scudetto contenders, but Allegri has other views.
"Despite the fact that other sides have strengthened, I think that Inter and ourselves will be favourites for the championship," he stated on Monday.
Allegri made the claim before his side's departure for China ahead of the Italian Super Cup clash against Inter on Saturday 6 August.
"We've worked reasonably well in these weeks," continued the former Cagliari” data-scaytid=”9″>Cagliari tactician.
"It will be important to have the right concentration in Beijing, because we are playing for the first trophy of the season and because it is against Inter.
"It'll be tough, mentally and physically, but it wouldn't be a bad start to the season if we win this one…"
