Allegri expects new signings as Juventus make ‘desperate’ attempt for Icardi

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri expects more new signings on the last days of the summer transfer window, while the Bianconeri have reportedly made a desperate attempt to sign Mauro Icardi.

The Old Lady has just one point in the opening two Serie A games and began their post-Ronaldo era with a 1-0 defeat against Empoli at the Allianz Stadium.

During his post-match press conference, Massimiliano Allegri suggested he expects more new signings from the Bianconeri.

“The club is in charge of negotiations, three days are remaining before the end of the transfer window, so let’s see who will arrive,” the Old Lady’s boss during his press conference, attended by Football Italia.

And one new signing arrived in Turin, just as Allegri was speaking as Everton striker Moise Kean landed in town right after Juventus’ game against Empoli.

The Italian striker is expected to undergo his medical examinations with the Bianconeri in the coming hours.

However, according to Il Corriere dello Sport journalist Nicola Balice, the Old Lady directors made a desperate attempt to sign Mauro Icardi after the shocking defeat against the Tuscans.

The former Inter captain seems unwilling to leave Paris, especially if Kylian Mbappé joins Real Madrid.

As per Tuttosport, Barcelona even offered Sergio Aguero to Juventus, but the Argentinean striker is currently injured and will remain out of action for several weeks.
