Massimiliano Allegri highlighted the difficulty of tonight’s Derby della Mole against Torino and his tactical choices in midfield.

The Bianconeri need a win against their intercity rivals tonight if they want to further consolidate their 4th spot in the league table. They currently sit two points ahead of 5th place Atalanta, who face Fiorentina on Sunday.

Speaking to DAZN ahead of the match, Allegri first discussed his expectations for Torino’s defensive set-up.

“I don’t know, because Juric will have prepared it as he sees fit. We still have to adapt to the possibility of change they may have in playing the game.

“It’s always a very important game for us, it’s another little piece that we have to bring home in order to try and get to the final objective, that of being in the top four.”

He touched on his tactical decisions in the midfield for tonight’s match against the Granata, ahead of their Champions League match against Villarreal.

“I evaluate and take into consideration the games that are being played at the moment, then at the end of the game we’ll see who will stay up and who will be ready to play on Tuesday.”

Finally, Allegri discussed Torino talisman Andrea Belotti and if he’s a player that Juventus fear.

“First of all it’s a pleasure to see him again because he’s an important player both for Torino and for the national team.

“He hasn’t played for a long time, tonight is a very difficult game for us, so we have to play it in the best possible way because we played a good game in Bergamo, but it’s a game at risk because of too many compliments, because of the way we played, and I don’t like that.”

Juventus have not lost a derby to Torino since April 2015, when they lost 2-1. They have won the last 13 consecutive league meetings since then, but Allegri isn’t taking a win for granted nonetheless, especially considering the Bianconeri’s stumbles this campaign.
