Max Allegri gives the reasoning behind his Juventus picks amid an injury crisis for the Turin Derby against local rivals Torino. ‘This will be a battle.’
It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).
“What we sense is a strong atmosphere in a complicated game, a derby against a physical side, so this will be a battle,” Allegri told DAZN.
With Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa injured, plus Arkadiusz Milik only fit for the bench, Moise Kean leads the attack with Fabio Miretti pushed into a more advanced role.
“I have two other options off the bench, Milik and Yildiz, plus also Fagioli, so we’ll try to do well with the starting XI and then see what we can change.
“The important thing is that those who are available step onto the field with the right attitude and mentality, wanting a derby that is going to be tough.”
Torino have traditionally struggled in the Derby della Mole, not winning home or away since 2015, but Allegri will not take anything for granted.
“The derby is different to every other fixture, but above all it is important for the table.”
