The Bianconeri dive back into Serie A football after a humiliating 4-0 Champions League loss at Stamford Bridge midweek.

“The game is important, but not decisive,” Allegri told DAZN in Turin.

“We know Atalanta play very well with a high tempo, so we need to show pride, technique and above all wipe out the embarrassing performance in London.”

Paulo Dybala returns to the side after injury, starting with Alvaro Morata and Federico Chiesa.

However, despite suggestions this could be a 3-4-3 formation, Allegri assures it will be 4-4-2.

“We are playing with Alvaro as a centre-forward, Paulo near him, as always. I think it will be a dynamic game with technical accuracy and also heart.”

6 thought on “Allegri defines Juventus tactics against Atalanta”
  1. I can define Juventus tactics for this game too. It’s the same as every other match regardless of the opponent. Defending with 10 men in and around the box, hoping for a goal on the counter then defending that one goal fighting tooth and nail.

What could go wrong with this plan?

Allegri used to be better than this. I understand his team now is more limited but he’s just too afraid to lose nowadays.

  2. TL;DR – Go ultra defensive while hoping for luck or refereeing errors. Yes, I am Juve fan. Not a blind one though.

  3. Saying its not decisive says it all about Allegri, so when it goes wrong it’s no big deal.
We’ll lose because of his boring and predictable tactics.

  4. Juve fan here. Second time cheering for the opposing team. No hope for reform until Juve hits rock bottom. Reform means Allegri out, Bonucci out, Rabbiot out, Baentancur out, Moratta out. And I am hoping, above all, Agnelli out. Juventus had a reformed team built by Conte, Conte was too rigid which getting rid of him was the last right move to do. However, Allegri was the worst decision then and now, could not get European glory with top level team. The failure was obscured by how weak serie A had become. Now, the team is not as good but also the other teams are much better. That is why now people can see how terrible he made the team. Only hope for juventus is to bring Zidane and get rid of bunch of old guards, results will be slow to see. But that’s the only hope to prevent a Man Utd situation
