There are reports Max Allegri would like to bring Romelu Lukaku to Juventus, potentially with Dusan Vlahovic heading to Chelsea, but the Belgian has his heart set on Inter.

The rumours in England had pushed Juve into the race for Lukaku, especially as Chelsea believe they could provide a higher bid than Inter and get closer to the €45m asking price.

Italian sources had until now been entirely confident Juve were not even in the running, nor particularly interested in the idea of signing Lukaku.

That seems to be changing, as Gazzetta dello Sport and Sportitalia Juventus correspondent Giovanni Albanese now suggests coach Allegri requested Lukaku as a potential reinforcement in his meeting with new director Cristiano Giuntoli.

He also states that Vlahovic can leave for the right offer, and Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in a possible swap deal.

However, that all fails to take into account that Lukaku already rejected a more lucrative proposal from Saudi Arabia and has said before he would ‘never’ go to Inter’s arch-rivals Juventus.

2 thought on “Allegri could want Lukaku at Juventus, Vlahovic to Chelsea”
  1. Swapping a 23 year old for 30 year old with little shelf life left makes no sense. Hopefully not true

  2. It would be ideal for Chelsea and the alternative for Lukaku could be playing in the development team, if Inter don’t pay up.
