Walter Novellino believes that Milan’s first mistake this season was in sacking Massimiliano Allegri, as he sees Clarence Seedorf without experience.
The Rossoneri shipped out Allegri in January to bring in their former midfielder in his place, but have seen poor form continue into the second half of the season.
“I would never have sacked Allegri, he was the only one capable of fixing this situation,” former Milan midfielder and current Modena Coach Novellino has considered on Radio Rai this Monday.

“I would never have sacked Allegri, he was the only one capable of fixing this situation,” former Milan midfielder and current Modena Coach Novellino has considered on Radio Rai this Monday.
“Moreover, he had a squad that wasn’t revolutionised but certainly was reinforced with players that had just arrived and were still looking to acclimatise.
“You become a Coach because you have a certain experience and Seedorf will be a good technician, but the problems with Milan are not resolved with four attacking midfielders.
“It takes time to become a Coach, as it happened with me. Seedorf has much experience of football, but not as a Coach.
“Also yesterday, the Rossoneri were not in control of the ball – Milan are another thing, they must always be protagonists.
“They are going through a period of re-growth, which, however, has led to them setting aside a competent person.
“[Adriano] Galliani can help Seedorf and give him advice, but the team is determined by the Coach. And the Rossoneri are paying for this.”
