In the second part of his interview with GQ Magazine, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri compared Dusan Vlahovic to Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland: ‘They are the best players of their generation.’

The 22-year-old joined the Bianconeri in an €80m move from Fiorentina in January and has had a tremendous impact in Turin with five goals and two assists in the opening 11 games with the Old Lady.

“He is a young player with not much international experience. But he has quality. He wants and can improve. He has time to do it,” said Allegri.

Allegri: ‘I had signed with Real Madrid before Juventus’ call’

“He is ruthless in front of the goal and Juventus made an important signing. He, Mbappé and Haaland are the best players of their generation.”

Allegri insists that Alvaro Morata has never been on the brink despite Vlahovic’s arrival. The coach reiterates that he called the Spaniard as soon as Juventus signed their new striker.

“I called him that night to tell him: ‘You are going nowhere, with him, you will become even more important,’ and that’s what happened.

“It’s crazy to question Morata. He can’t be at his best if he is asked to do things that he can’t. But he’s always been available playing in a position which is not exactly the best one for him.”

There had been rumours of Morata potentially joining Barcelona in the January transfer window, but Allegri blocked his transfer. The Spaniard’s loan spell in Turin runs out in the summer, and the Old Lady will try to make his move permanent by offering €15m to Atletico Madrid. They have an option to make his move permanent for €35m, but the Serie A giants won’t offer as much.

  1. @Ringo as much as I want to watch Juve failed, I think Dusan deserves the attention and praise he’s getting now.. The killer instinct and composure of a deadly striker
