Allegri ‘amazed and fascinated’ by fans

Massimiliano Allegri admits he was “amazed and fascinated” by the Scudetto celebrations at San Siro.

Milan made their way to the stadium in an open-top bus, greeted by 50,000 supporters in Piazza Duomo before beating Cagliari 4-1.

“It was wonderful for me and the first time I've experienced anything like that, so I was amazed and fascinated,” said the Coach in his first Scudetto party.

“I wanted the lads to end the campaign in the best way with the fans and President here for us.”

Former Cagliari boss Allegri had never trained a top side before, but right from the summer was seen making his stars sweat.

“I immediately asked the side to train with intensity, as that is what prepares you for the pitch, but that is also a work ethic at Milan decades ago with Arrigo Sacchi.

“I merely asked them to work for the team and that is what they did for me and each other.”

President Silvio Berlusconi has pledged to make another big money signing for next season, so who would Allegri pick?

“As the President was so good at choosing the big buy last summer, I'll leave it up to him again!”
