After a brief transfer market battle, Tottenham have managed to reach a total agreement for Genoa starlet Radu Dragusin.

The 21-year-old Romanian centre back attracted the attention of a number of clubs across Europe recently after shining on the Ligurian coast, with clubs like Spurs, Bayern Munich, and Napoli all keen on snapping him up.

Tottenham agreed to pay €25m plus €6m in add-ons to Genoa for Dragusin, who’ll sign a five-and-a-half-year contract worth around €3m net per season. Djed Spence will head the other way, joining the Rossoblu on a loan deal with a €10m buy option attached.

Genoa also accepted an offer from Bayern for the 21-year-old and left the decision up to him. He ultimately chose to head to North London, a move that seemingly surprised his agent Florin Manea.

The representative told Romanian media that he ‘struggled to believe he said no to the Bavarians’, believing that Spurs ‘were the right step for his career’.

Dragusin left Italy for England on Wednesday afternoon, ready to undergo his medicals with Tottenham before putting pen to paper on his contract. 20% of his fee will go to Juventus due to a future resale clause inserted in their deal with Genoa last summer.
