CONMEBOL announced they have struck a deal for 50,000 COVID-19 vaccines from China to immunise players ahead of the Copa America.
The tournament is set to run from June 13 to July 10 in Argentina and Colombia, with many Serie A players expected to participate.
There are 10 South American nations taking part, including Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Venezuela.
Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac are donating the 50,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

“It is the best news that the South American football family can receive,” said CONMEBOL President Alejandro Dominguez.
“I appreciate this great gesture of solidarity and support from the Sinovac company, which understood that football is a fundamental activity for the economy, culture and physical and mental health of South Americans.
“This is a huge step forward in defeating the COVID-19 pandemic, but by no means does it mean that we are letting our guard down. We will maintain our responsible work, which allowed us to conclude our tournaments smoothly and without altering the formats.”
UEFA have so far been against the idea of immunising players for the Euro 2020 tournament, which kicks off on June 11.
