Udinese have presented an offer to free agent Alexis Sanchez as they look to bring back the Chile legend 13 years after his initial exit.

The 35-year-old forward is currently a free agent after his contract with Inter expired at the start of this month. He recently took part in the Copa America with Chile, where he started in all three of their group games.

Alexis Sanchez started his career in Europe with Udinese, initially arriving from Cobreloa in 2006. He spent time on loan with Colo-Colo and River Plate before breaking into the first team in Friuli in 2008. He made 112 appearances for the club before he was sold to Barcelona in July 2011.

Udinese insist on Alexis Sanchez

Sky Sports Italia via TMW highlights how Udinese are serious about bringing back Alexis Sanchez and have presented a contract offer to the 35-year-old, who is also being targeted by Lille.

Bianconeri director Franco Collavino admitted the club’s interest in a reunion with the Chile legend, responding to a question from a fan.

“Alexis is a dream, we’ve already said it on other occasions and Gino Pozzo also reiterated it. We’re here, ready to welcome him if the right conditions arise, if he is convinced about returning. We want to cultivate the dreams of our fans, we are thinking about it too.”
