Alexis Sanchez seems to be closer than ever to leaving Inter with a mutual contract termination, with reports he might already be in France to sign for Olympique Marseille.

The Chile international is under contract with the Nerazzurri until June 2023, but as he is not part of their plans and yet the highest earner at the club with over €7m per season, the desire is to get him off their books.

That could well include a massive pay-off, believed to be at least €5m, in order to terminate it early by mutual consent.

Things are progressing at last, with news that Alexis Sanchez did not take part in training with the rest of the Inter players this afternoon.

Sport Mediaset even claim that he is already in France, preparing to sign for Olympique Marseille as a free agent.

He is expected to sign a deal with the Ligue 1 side worth €3m per season net plus performance-related bonuses.

It has been a busy day for Marseille, who already signed Jordan Veretout from Roma on a permanent deal.

  1. Wow, Inter had to shell out 7m per season for this guy and OM only 3? Sanchez was really good in his younger days and even now he showed glimpses of his talent from years past but Inter got ripped if he will play for OM for less than half of what Inter were paying him

  2. @Gman that’s why he needs to go to make space for future transfers. If he wereto stay it’ll cause a lot of unnecessary financial problems for a player who won’t be playing that much. He made it difficult refusing to leave early ruining Inter plans in this transfer.
