Alexis Sanchez is expected to terminate his contract with Inter by mutual consent in exchange for €4.5m, but meanwhile he sends a message via Instagram.

The striker is under contract until June 2023, but not part of the Nerazzurri’s plans and is one of the highest earners at the club.

It is widely reported that his agent has agreed to terminate the contract early by mutual consent in exchange for €4.5m in severance pay.

Once that paperwork has been signed, which is likely to be tomorrow, he will then join Olympique Marseille as a free agent.

Meanwhile, the Chile international posted a message on Instagram including a picture of him joking around with his Inter teammates in training.

“I have always been professional and successful in my football career… Have fun and do what makes you happy, play football.”

The 33-year-old joined Inter initially on loan from Manchester United in 2019, then made the move permanent a year later for free, in exchange for the Nerazzurri taking on his existing €7m per season salary.

He made 108 competitive appearances in the Inter jersey, scoring 20 goals and providing 23 assists.

  1. 43 goals contribution in 108 games, mostly played as super-sub. That’s a good number. He won scudetto, coppa italia, and supercoppa (decisive goal) with inter. His salary is too high for inter but a success story nevertheless. Thanks for wonderful 3 years alexis, best of luck!
