Alexis Sanchez has finally started to come alive with Inter and strong performances could earn the Chilean veteran a new contract at the club.

The 35-year-old Chilean forward has started to prove himself an important option in Simone Inzaghi’s squad in recent weeks, scoring and assisting in the win over Genoa as well as providing assists in the prior two wins over Atalanta and Lecce.

Alexis Sanchez struggled for regular playing time in Serie A in the first half of the season, but he did find some success in the Champions League, scoring in group stage matches against RB Salzburg and Benfica, proving to be a useful option on the bench.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Inter have taken note of Alexis Sanchez’s important contributions to Simone Inzaghi’s squad in recent weeks and he could be offered a new deal at the end of the season.

His current contract expires at the end of June, but strong work in the coming three months could earn him a new contract with the Nerazzurri, who haven’t made any final decisions yet.
