It is widely reported in Italy and Chile that Sanchez will join Inter on a free loan with option to buy at the end of the season for €15m.
During that year, Manchester United will share at least half his salary, leaving Inter to pay only €4m.
A medical is expected in Italy tomorrow, after which the 30-year-old can sign the contract.
It is a return to Serie A, as he played for Udinese from 2008 to 2011, then was sold to Barcelona for €26m.
He moved on again to Arsenal in 2014 for €42.5m, but has struggled since the transfer to Manchester United for €34m in January 2018.
