Alexis Sanchez is reportedly open to lowering his yearly salary at Inter and sign a new contract until June 2024.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Chilean forward would be happy to renew his terms of the current contract with the Beneamata.

Sanchez deal expires in June 2023 and the newspaper believes he is willing to extend with one year and split the current €7m-a-year salary.

In this way, the former Manchester United forward’s wage would drop to just under €5m per championship, an important starting point to continue the relationship and for Inter to not consider a sale this summer.

The 32-year-old joined the Nerazzurri in August 2019 and has appeared in 70 competitive games since moving to Italy.

Sanchez, who initially arrived on loan from United, has contributed 11 goals and 18 assists in his time with the Beneamata and made his move permanent last summer.
