Alex Sandro has been ruled out of action for Juventus for up to six weeks, giving teenage talent Dean Huijsen the chance to break into Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
The Bianconeri have increasingly started to trust in young players in the post Andrea Agnelli era, finding success with various former Next Gen talents including Fabio Miretti, Nicolo Fagioli and Samuel Iling-Junior.
Juventus are one of the few clubs to have a second team in Italy and their model is now bearing fruit, possibly sending a signal to other sides in Serie A in the search for the next best Italian talents.
As reported by Tuttosport via TMW, Alex Sandro’s absence has forced Allegri to consider a possible replacement in the squad and he’s identified Juventus Next Gen talent Huijsen as the right option.
Whilst the 18-year-old is unlikely to feature heavily over the next six weeks, he could be given the chance to make his first team debut and will slowly continue his integration into Allegri’s squad.
