Alex reveals Milan are “working more this season” under Sinisa Mihajlovic and wants to build on recent momentum.
The Rossoneri are in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia, and also beat surprise Scudetto hopefuls Fiorentina on Sunday night at San Siro.
“We’re working more this season,” Alex explained to Milan Channel.
“We do really intense workouts every day. I’m feeling good this season. I started the season on the bench, but I never gave up and I just kept working.

“We’re working more this season,” Alex explained to Milan Channel.

“The Coach gave me a chance against Torino and I took it. I’m playing for a great team though, so I have to keep working and doing well.
“Fiorentina? We did very well, it was a difficult game. We have to continue on this path. We just have to take it one game at a time to achieve our goals.
“Now we’re thinking about Empoli, then we’ll think about the Coppa Italia and the derby [with Inter].
“Empoli? We know they’re a team that plays well, it won’t be easy to play in their home. We’ll have to play like we did against Fiorentina.”
The Diavolo have a number of young players, such as M’Baye Niang, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alessio Romagnoli, and Alex sees it as his duty to help his less experienced colleagues.
“We experienced players have to help the younger ones. I am an experienced player so I talk a lot to Romagnoli and Donnarumma and give them advice.
“Romangoli is young, but he’s played a lot of games. Communication at the back is vital in order to organise ourselves and play well as we showed versus Fiorentina.”
