Milan defender Alex praises teammate Juraj Kucka – ‘he never has to stop!’.

The Slovakian midfielder joined from Genoa in the summer, and his Brazilian teammate praised him in an interview with Forza Milan.

“What do I dislike about the modern game?” the centre-back considered.

“The schedule. Sometimes there’s no respect for the physical side. An athlete has to rest, otherwise there won’t be the same quality in the match, the intensity won’t be the same.

“The schedule. Sometimes there’s no respect for the physical side. An athlete has to rest, otherwise there won’t be the same quality in the match, the intensity won’t be the same.

“That’s what I don’t like.  To play a beautiful match there should be at least four days between one game and the other.

“Only Kucka manages to play every day, it’s amazing. It’s not a mental thing, that helps but at some point you have to stop.

“Not him though, yesterday he was training and running – but he played the day before. It’s unbelievable!"

The former Chelsea defender also discussed his time with Milan, revealing that he feels like a Rossonero at heart.

“Passion is important, as is the opportunity to play for a club like Milan after clubs like PSV, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain…

“I thank God every day that I’m here, I cheer for all the teams I’ve played for, and I try to watch them as often as I can.

“Now that I’m here I feel 100 per cent like a Milanista.”
