Aleix Vidal is being lined up by Roma in case Alessandro Florenzi doesn’t renew his contract and goes to Inter.
Sky Sport Italia spotted Barcelona full-back Vidal’s agent in Milan today, fuelling rumours of a Nerazzurri bid.
However, according to Gazzamercato, the real reason for his presence was talks with Roma director of sport Monchi.
Vidal has long been a favourite of Monchi and would be considered a suitable replacement should Florenzi walk away this summer.

Inter have reportedly offered far higher wages than the renewal Roma are proposing and the Italy international’s current contract is due to expire next summer.
They cannot risk losing him as a free agent, so if there isn’t a breakthrough soon, Florenzi will be put up for sale.
Aleix Vidal turns 29 in August and cost Barcelona €17m when signing him from Sevilla in 2015, but he struggled for regular playing time.
Other Italian sides previously linked with Vidal are Napoli, Milan and Juventus.
