Roma target Toby Alderweireld has affirmed that he is ‘totally focused’ on Tottenham Hotspur, even if ‘things happen very quickly in football.’
Calciomercato.com reported on Sunday that another round of talks between Roma and Tottenham had been scheduled for next week as the Giallorossi looked to finally close a deal for Alderweireld.
However, the defender has travelled with the Spurs team to the Far East for the International Champions Cup and started their 3-2 win against Juventus as captain.

“I just want to say that I’m totally focused on Tottenham,” the 30-year-old said after the game.
“Things happen very quickly in football, but I can say that I’m completely focused on Spurs.
“I’m working to be ready for the new season.”
