Austria star David Alaba has warned Italy ahead of the last 16 clash at Euro 2020. ‘In football, everything is possible’.

The captain, who moves from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid on a free transfer after the competition, spoke to Sky Sport Italia about the upcoming fixture at Wembley on Saturday.

“For me, the match against Italy counts a lot, it will be a special game for all of Italy and for all of Austria,” Alaba said.

“Our strength is the collective. Of course, we have some players of great quality, but our strength is knowing how to bring team spirit on the pitch.

“We have to keep dreaming big, let’s go to London to carry on this dream. It won’t be easy against Italy, we have seen the football expressed by [Roberto] Mancini’s side in recent months. But, in football, everything is possible.”

Alaba hopes to limit Lazio forward Ciro Immobile when the two sides clash in the English capital.

“Immobile is a real striker. He’s complete, dangerous and cold in the goal zone,” Alaba said. “He knows how to decide games and score from even the smallest opportunity.”
