Al-Nassr have officially announced the arrival of former Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo and now they’re looking to pick up ex-Inter striker Mauro Icardi.

Things have been difficult for the Argentinian forward since his departure from the Nerazzurri in September 2019. After three tough years in the French capital with Paris Saint-Germain, Icardi headed for Turkey in the summer, joining on loan. Whilst he’s netted four goals in six league games, off-pitch issues have continued to plague the 29-year-old.

As reported by TMW, Al-Nassr made headlines with their signing of Ronaldo and they want to continue adding well-known stars to their squad, starting with Icardi. Initial talks have been opened with the player’s entourage and initial feelings are positive in Saudi Arabia.

Newell’s Old Boys would like to bring the 29-year-old back to Argentina but are facing tough competition from Al-Nassr, who can offer a far more lucrative contract.

During his six years with Inter, Icardi scored 124 goals and provided 29 assists across 219 appearances.
