PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been appointed the new President of ECA, following the resignation of Juventus patron Andrea Agnelli.

Al-Khelaifi has officially been given the task to succeed Agnelli as head of the European Club Association.

“I’m honoured to have been appointed President by my fellow ECA board members,” Al-Khelaifi said after the election, according to TMW.

“The leadership, integrity and unity of our organisation has never been more necessary at this pivotal time in European football.

“I will provide my unconditional commitment to the entire football community – that means to all ECA member clubs from every European nation to the fans and communities they represent.

“Together with all my fellow board members, I’m seeking to strengthen the ECA in its role as the legitimate and unique voice of European clubs.

“Our game, beloved for generations of fans, will only thrive if we are united, and it’s our duty as guardians of football to fulfil this obligation.”
