Alexis Sanchez’s second stint at Inter could be short-lived, as there are reports Marcelo Gallardo wants the forward at Al-Ittihad in January.

The Chile international had already been at the club from 2019 to 2022 before leaving as a free agent for Olympique Marseille.

He returned a year later, again out of contract, and this season has contributed two goals in 12 appearances between Serie A and the Champions League.

However, there are already suggestions the 35-year-old is ready to move on again for a lucrative experience in the Saudi Pro League.

Gallardo just took over the job at Al-Ittihad last month and is said to be interested in adding the Chile international veteran to his squad.

Inter had already been linked with a striker in the January transfer window, as Marko Arnautovic and Alexis Sanchez are not providing enough as back-ups for Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

Potential targets should not include Medhi Taremi, who is being lined up as a free agent in the summer once his contract with FC Porto expires.
