Al-Hilal are refusing to give up on Victor Osimhen and have offered the Napoli star an incredibly lucrative contract, La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests.

The report details how the Saudi side – one of four backed by sovereign wealth fund PIF – have been focusing their attention on the 24-year-old Nigerian striker following their failure to receive an opening from Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.

Napoli have no intention of selling Osimhen this summer and have been in close contact with his agent Roberto Calenda, trying to agree a new contract. The major sticking point in these talks has been the release clause, so no agreement has been reached yet.

Page eight of today’s Gazzetta underlines how Al-Hilal have now offered Osimhen a contract worth €200m total – it is currently unclear if this is a four-year deal at €50m or a five-year offer at €40m net per season.

The Partenopei have put a €200m price tag on the Nigerian striker and are unlikely to budge, with president Aurelio De Laurentiis known for being a tough negotiator.
