Spormediaset insists Andrea Agnelli has ‘too many enemies’ and could resign as Juventus President and be replaced by Alessandro Nasi.

Agnelli was one of the architects of the Super League and was named vice president. Last night the Super League had released a statement insisting the project would need to be reshaped, but this morning Agnelli told Reuters the Super League can “no longer go ahead.

Pressure is mounting over the Old Lady’s President, and Sportmediaset insists he could resign or be forced to leave the club.

“Agnelli has too many enemies at many levels and is facing a difficult situation,” the report states.

At this point, with Juventus stuck in a “dramatic” financial situation and considering Agnelli’s poor relationship with his cousin and Exor's CEO John Elkann, it’s possible to see the Bianconeri President leave the club.

According to Sportmediaset, Alessandro Nasi is the leading candidate to replace Agnelli as Juventus’ Chairman should he leave the club.

Nasi is Elkann and Agnelli's cousin and is serving as Comau’s Chairman and Exor’s vice president.

If Nasi takes over, Pirlo will leave Juventus at the end of the season.

There were two different reports about Agnelli’s resignation last night, but Juventus insisted their President hasn’t stepped down.

It remains to be seen if the situation will change in the coming hours.
