Agnelli fixed relationship with Conte amid Juventus rumours

La Gazzetta Dello Sport suggests that Antonio Conte fixed his fractured bond with Juventus President Andrea Agnelli in the summer, meaning that a return to the Allianz Stadium in 2023 is possible.

The Tottenham tactician is said to be the leading candidate to replace Massimiliano Allegri at the end of the season, should the 55-year-old complete another trophyless season with the Old Lady.

Conte’s contract in North London runs out in the summer and the former midfielder is said to have put talks on hold, knowing that a possible return to Juventus is on the cards.

The ex-Inter coach was not on good terms with President Andrea Agnelli after leaving the club one day into the 2014-15 pre-season.

Agnelli vetoed his return in the summer of 2019 when the Old Lady sacked Allegri to hire Maurizio Sarri.

However, according to Gazzetta, Conte and Agnelli fixed their relationship during a meeting last summer, so the President would not stand against the coach’s return at the end of the season.

Allegri signed a €7m-a-year deal plus add-ons in 2021, and his current contract at the club expires in June 2025.
