Former Juventus President Andrea Agnelli cited ‘Where the Streets Have No Name’ by U2, reacting to an ECJ ruling that has boosted hopes for creating a European Super League.

The European Court of Justice said on Thursday that FIFA and UEFA are ‘abusing a dominant position’ and can’t punish clubs or players who are involved in tournaments organised outside their jurisdiction.

Agnelli reacted with a social media post published on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday afternoon.

The former Juventus President, one of the most prominent architects of the Super League, wrote the intro of a famous song by U2, ‘Where the Streets Have No Name.’

He added ‘Love football’ and Juventus’ motto ‘Fino alla Fine.’

Agnelli hadn’t tweeted for nearly a year.

His previous post on X was from January 6, 2023, when he paid tribute to the late Gianluca Vialli on the day of his death.

Agnelli resigned as Juventus’ president in November 2022, but the decision was unrelated to his involvement in the creation of the Super League.
