Duvan Zapata’s agent admits ‘the time has come to leave Napoli’, and reveals ‘concrete proposals from four or five teams’.
The Colombian striker has spent the last two seasons with the Partenopei, but struggled for playing time under Rafa Benitez.
“For us, the time has come to leave Napoli,” Fernando Villarreal told TuttoNapoli.
“After two years in which he’s not played much, but scored a lot of goals, where he can find space and enhance the value of the Partenopei’s investment.

“After two years in which he’s not played much, but scored a lot of goals, where he can find space and enhance the value of the Partenopei’s investment.
“The best solution would be a loan, perhaps with the right of redemption, since no club is going to agree to give the player space if they can’t buy him.
“At the moment no-one knows anything because Napoli are not responding. There have been concrete proposals from four or five teams, not just in Italy, but from Spain and Germany too.
“However, until we can talk to the Neapolitan club it will be difficult to move forward.
“Napoli told us days ago that they had to wait for the confirmation of their new sporting director, but [Cristiano] Giuntoli appeared in pictures from [Mirko] Valdifiori’s medical, so I guess the situation will be clear soon.”
There has been speculation in recent days that Zapata could be used as part of other transfer dealings, with Sassuolo hinting that they’d accept him as part of any deal for Sime Vrsaljko.
“I must admit that I’ve heard those kind of rumours in recent days. At the moment I don’t know if they’re true, because we can’t deal with Napoli.
“If they were to be confirmed it would be clear that the Italians don’t see the Colombian as part of their new cycle.”
