Agent: ‘Younes won’t join Genoa’

Amin Younes’ agent denies the winger could join Genoa in the summer “Amin is a Napoli player and his future is there”.

The German international had agreed a transfer from Ajax in January, but asked to delay it until the summer before moving on a free transfer.

It then became apparent that he was having second thoughts, but the Partenopei repeatedly pointed out that the contract was signed and Younes can’t go elsewhere.

In recent days it has been suggested he could be loaned out to Genoa, but his representative says that’s unlikely.

“I can categorically rule out Younes going to Genoa,” Nicola Innocentin told calciomercato.com.

“I’ve never had any contact with the Ligurian club, I read the newspapers a few weeks ago and phone the Grifone to see if their interest was real, but I was told it wasn’t like that.

“Amin is a Napoli player and his future is there.

“Honestly I already thought it would be difficult for Genoa to step in and negotiate with Napoli, I don’t think they want to lose the player, even on loan.”
