Theo Hernandez’s agent believes the France international is ‘perhaps the best left-back in the world’ and sets the conditions for which he could ‘stay at Milan forever.’

The former Real Madrid man was a big investment for the Rossoneri in 2019, signing on for €22.8m, but his value on the transfer market has practically quadrupled in that time.

Still only 25, he recently signed a new contract to June 2026 and further enhanced his reputation at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“Theo’s performances speak for themselves and have done for the last four years, scoring over 20 goals, providing over 25 assists, participating in 50 per cent of the team’s attacking moves and on top of all that uses his athletic power to help in defence too,” agent Manuel Garcia Quilon told serieanews.com.

“He has become one of the best left-backs in the world, perhaps the best.”

Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and others have all shown an interest in Theo Hernandez, but he seems perfectly happy at San Siro, where he won the Scudetto and has now progressed to the Champions League Round of 16.

Considering all of this, the agent was asked if Milan fans can relax knowing Theo Hernandez is going nowhere.

“Every player has a team where he finds his natural habitat and it suits his identity. Since he arrived at Milan, Theo has felt he belongs, is cared for by Paolo Maldini, Ricky Massara and the fans.

“It was a perfect combination for the development of this great career he is now having. We cannot forget that he was a fundamental element in Milan becoming Champions of Italy after a decade.”

It was largely an unexpected Serie A title success, as even coach Stefano Pioli and director Maldini confessed it was ahead of schedule in this project.

“That title was achieved with so many young players, like Theo, Sandro Tonali, Fikayo Tomori, Ismael Bennacer and Rafael Leao. It means they have the time and opportunity to keep growing.

“Theo Hernandez is very happy in this city and this club. If the team continues growing at the same level as he is, then I won’t rule out him staying at Milan forever.

“You never know what can happen in football, but Theo can only be happy and grateful to Milan.”

  1. Yes please.

That’s logical and I can accept that. If Milan stops growing then it’s only natural for the player to leave.
