Daniel Maldini’s agent Beppe Riso suggests the Milan starlet won’t leave the Rossoneri and rules out Papu Gomez’s return to Serie A.

Maldini, 20, has played four Serie A games this season, scoring his first goal in Italy’s top-flight against Spezia in September.

Where does his agent see his future?

“At Milan, always at Milan. Daniel is lucky to have an example like[his father] Paolo and that’s helpful,” Riso told Tuttosport.

“However, Paolo is strict in separating the role of a father from that of Milan executive.”

Riso also discussed the future of his clients Nicolò Rovella and Papu Gomez.

“Rovella is an important player and he is proving it this season. He is proving to be Juventus material. Let’s see when he will return to Turin. It’s a pity that he got injured because he was playing really well.

“Papu is happy at Sevilla and we are not talking [about a possible return to Serie A].”

The Argentinean star left Atalanta in January 2021 after disagreements with Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

He has scored four goals and delivered one assists in 38 games with the La Liga side.

Rovella signed with Juventus this past January, but has remained at Genoa on loan until the end of the season.

  1. Paolo Maldini makes no room for Italian youngsters but makes sure his son is on the first team to collect top wages.

The fact that the 2020 European Champions had no Milan players on it (Gigio signed with PSG by this time) is a travesty.

  2. Best thing for his game a this stage would to be to cut his teeth as a journeyman and see if he can swim but it doesn’t look likely.

  3. Hello Poopie Zanetti I know you. Just admit you are a closet Inter fan. Do not worry about young Maldini, a loving father will do what he needs to do.

  4. as much as i would love to see the Maldini tradition go on,Daniel doesnt even come close to the player Paolo was or even his nonno Cesare was. seems only reason hes on the the team ans even gets a chance is cuz of his name and bloodline. hes really a below average professional calciatore

  5. I have said on this site before…he should have been shipped out somewhere (preferably in Serie A) where he will get minutes & most importantly development.
