Patrik Schick’s agent is confident RB Leipzig will purchase the striker outright from Roma, but ‘everyone knows it’ll be for an inferior sum’ to the €29m agreed.

The 24-year-old has spent this season on loan in Germany at a cost of €3.5m and rediscovered his form with seven goals and three assists in 19 competitive games.

There is an option to buy for a further €29m, which becomes an obligation if RB Leipzig qualify for the 2020-21 Champions League.

“We are in no rush for the negotiations and a decision will be made in mid-to-late June,” agent Pavel Paska told iSport.cz.

“At this moment, there are some very intensive talks, and everyone knows it’ll be for an inferior sum to the one that had been agreed. The loan runs to June 30, so there’s still plenty of time and no need for rushed decisions.

“In my view, it’s going to be a long negotiation process. There is also interest from other clubs, but we are completely concentrated on Leipzig.”
