“It’s true that the Giallorossi came looking for Asensio and were in negotiations for him before Real Madrid,” agent Horacio Gaggioli told Il Romanista.

Now 22, Real Madrid bought Asensio from RCD Mallorca in 2015 for just €3.5m.
The Giallorossi reached the Champions League semi-final last season, beating Chelsea and Barcelona along the way.
