Ricardo Rodriguez is experiencing a “rebirth” at Milan and the team is “more united” under new club management, said his agent.

The Swiss international full-back was linked with a move away to Paris Saint-Germain or the Bundesliga, but opted to remain after Elliott Management took over from Yonghong Li at San Siro.

“This Milan is giving him a rebirth, even if Ricardo also had a strong rapport with the previous directors,” agent Gianluca Di Domenico told Radio CRC.

“Diego Laxalt’s arrival doesn’t change anything, as it’s only right a big club like Milan seeks several players in the same role. Ricardo can play in a three-man defence, with Laxalt wide on the left, or four at the back with the Uruguayan in a more advanced position.

“Now the squad is more united and feels strong, so they’ll make it difficult for Napoli this weekend. I find it strange that Napoli aren’t considered a top European club. We might not see Maurizio Sarri’s champagne football, but it will be a more practical and efficient side under Carlo Ancelotti.”
