Tiemoue Bakayoko’s agent Federico Pastorello says his client is expected to stay at Milan until the end of the season as there are issues between the Rossoneri, Chelsea and Lyon to end the midfielder’s loan at San Siro.

The France international has yet to make his first competitive appearance with the defending Serie A champions this season. He had been in talks with Vincenzo Montella’s Adana Demirspor, Cremonese and Ligue 1 side Lyon.

However, he is destined to end his loan spell at Milan returning to London at the end of the season.

“Bakayoko couldn’t join Cremonese due to a few issues,” Pastorello told Sky Sport Italia.

Could he join Lyon in the last few hours of the transfer window?

“I don’t think so, there are some problems between Lyon, Milan and Chelsea to end the loan deal,” the agent admitted.

Pastorello confirmed Sampdoria defender Omar Colley could join a Turkish club, who have one more week to finalise transfers. According to Sky Sport, Besiktas are leading the race for his signature.

Pastorello also commented on the gap between the Premier League and the other top leagues in Europe.

“It’s incredible, a different world, they have incredible potential. These funds have a lot of money to spend. Chelsea made some big signings after a lot of big investments in the summer. How many players do they have? I’ve lost count.

“I think it will be very difficult to close the gap, it’s not impossible, it can be done, but many things must change especially in Italian football, TV rights, stadiums…”
