Paul Pogba’s agent Rafaela Pimenta says the Juventus midfielder ‘feels the responsibility’ in Turin and wants to give the Bianconeri ‘what they deserve.’
The France international will miss the World Cup as he is still recovering from a meniscus surgery he underwent in September.
He suffered an injury during the pre-season and has yet to make his first competitive appearance for the Serie A giants this term.
“Paul has always been very clear about what he expected from Mino [Raiola] and me,” Pimenta told Marca.
“He is a fighter, a man with great character. He knows what he can and what he can’t do. He is very serious, a great professional. For him, the faith that Juve put in him is a responsibility. He understands perfectly what his responsibility is in football.
“When something bad happens in his life, he thinks about it and how to solve it. He suffers for not being at the World Cup, but he knows that at the end of the day, he has to wake up and continue recovering. He wants to play to give Juventus what they deserve.”
Pogba returned to Juventus after the end of his contract with Manchester United last summer, signing a contract until 2026.
The 29-year-old scored 34 goals in 178 appearances in his first spell at the Allianz Stadium from 2012 until 2016. He won nine trophies with the Bianconeri, including four Serie A titles.
He is expected to be back in January.
Pimenta has taken over at the agency formerly owned by Mino Raiola, who died in April.
“We miss Mino, we lived in Mino’s world, he was a massive reference point. It’s been very difficult for all of us,” continued the Brazilian lawyer.
“The players also miss Mino and me too. We are facing his absence together. Football has changed a lot, we must adapt to new rules, it’s becoming more universal. Fans from China and Qatar can follow Barcelona from close.
“There is passion for Real Madrid, Valencia or Sevilla in Los Angeles and I believe in Metaverse and other technologies that can bring us closer.”
