Pazienza has struggled to displace Andrea Pirlo, Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal from the middle of Juve’s midfield, making eight League appearances this term, with seven of those coming from the bench.

Subsequently, rumours have been rife of the player’s desire to move on in the winter to a club that can guarantee first-team football. However, representative to the 29-year-old, Vincenzo D'Ippolito, denied links to the likes of Udinese and Genoa, claiming that the No 5 is staying with the Bianconeri.

“No-one has contacted I nor Michele and there is no way he will move from Turin,” D’Ippolito told Pianetagenoa1893.net.

“Pazienza is very happy at Juventus and nobody should disturb his work. From now until June, the guy is wearing the black and white shirt.”
