Alejandro Camano played down the notion that a move back was imminent but did admit there was the ‘possibility’ one could arise.

“Valero’s still an Inter player, the season’s over and now there’s a new Coach in Antonio Conte,” Camano told ViolaNews.com.

“He still has a year left on his contract and he’s thinking about coming back to do preseason training with Inter, which could be very important for his future.

“Fiorentina are still the team of his heart, they’re his home, but until now there have been negotiations and there’s been no possibility of a transfer.

“However, we know that the market can change in a second. Daniele Prade’s back at Fiorentina and, for us, he’s a gentleman and one of the best directors in football.

“We’ve always had a great relationship with him, and with him, there’s the possibility of Valero returning to Fiorentina as the previous sporting director didn’t like him.”

Valero spent five seasons with the Viola, having arrived from Villarreal in 2012 for €7m, and went on to make 212 appearances during his spell in Tuscany.
