Nicolò Zaniolo’s agent has sparked more speculation of a potential move to Juventus after confirming there are ‘no negotiations’ with Roma to extend his contract.

The 22-year-old is held to the Stadio Olimpico side by a deal until June 2024, but the lack of progress in talks will further fuel existing rumours of a potential Juve swoop.

“With regards to the possible renewal of Nicolò’s contract, I wish to make clear that at this moment there are no negotiations with Roma,” Claudio Vigorelli told the Corriere dello Sport.

“Nicolò is totally concentrated on ending the season in the best possible way in Serie A and the Conference League, with the utmost effort and determination.

“It is therefore premature and unfounded to suggest there are any talks in progress regarding a contract extension.”

The speculation hit overdrive earlier this month when director Tiago Pinto said in a press conference that “nobody can guarantee” Zaniolo will be at Roma next season.

His current contract runs to June 2024 and Zaniolo earns circa €2.5m per season net.

Juventus would be the favourites if he was to leave the Giallorossi, although there is also interest from abroad such as Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur.
