Lazio’s hunt for another defender has taken a blow as Mergim Mavraj of Koln's agent says “there’s no chance of a sale.”
The Albania international has been linked with a move to Rome, with Il Tempo and La Repubblica writing this morning that the Biancocelesti are interested.
However, LaLazioSiamoNoi contacted the centre-back’s agent and received a forthright response on the possibility of a move.
“There’s no truth in it and no negotiations,” agent Klaus Berge told the website.

“Someone did ask me, but there’s no chance. Cologne have no intention of selling him.”
Lazio have already signed Milan Bisevac from Lyon this month, but LaLazioSiamoNoi believe they may need to sell Santiago Gentiletti before another signing can be made.
Mavraj has a contract until 2017 with the Bundesliga outfit, but has missed out on almost the entire season so far through injury.
