The Italian international has a deal running until next summer, but his representative warned that the midfielder wants to be assured of his role in the squad.

“Negotiations with PSG have stalled,” Alessandro Canovi admitted, speaking to RMC Sport.

“Thiago will no longer consider the propositions of PSG. Too many people at the club don’t consider Thiago to be a key player.”

The news outlet believes that Motta asked for a contract extension and a wage rise, despite being the club’s 10th highest earner already.

Inter and Valencia are both monitoring Motta’s situation, and the player now appears certain to leave Parc des Princes.
