In an exclusive interview with Football Italia, Ravel Morrison's agent claims a disappointing 2015/16 with Lazio did nothing to dent 'the respect of clubs in England'.
The 23-year-old midfielder joined the Biancocelesti in early 2015 on a free transfer, but the story of his move was turbulent, with QPR at one point seemingly set to swoop in.
After a season in which Morrison only enjoyed appearances in four games, reports had suggested the ex-Manchester United player could have been set for a move away from Rome. His agent however told Football Italia:
“He is number 11 at Lazio,” said Daniel Wilson.
“That's his status. Clubs in England will always respect his talent, because he played in the Premier League at a young age and showed his talent against some of the best players in the world.
“That's why his fellow professionals in England and Italy always speak so highly about him.”
In spite of his apparent trouble breaking into the first team, Morrison has had no problems adapting to Italian football and to Italian life.
“Football is football all over the world. Once he is on the pitch, then he is the exciting talent everyone knows him to be.
“The level is no different in Serie A to EPL. In fact it may be easier for someone coming from England, where the game is played at a much higher pace.
“The Lazio fans love Morrison and want to see him play, and he respects them in return.”
