Matías Fernández’s agent confirms that new Milan Coach Vincenzo Montella “really likes” his client.
It has been suggested that the pair could be reunited at San Siro, with the Rossoneri boss having previously worked with the Chilean at Fiorentina.
“Everyone knows he’s a player Montella really likes,” Alejandro Santisteban confirmed to MilanNews.
“He had excellent performances under him at Fiorentina. He even wanted him in January at Sampdoria.

“For now though I haven’t talked with anyone, not even with Mati who is on holiday and doing a bit of physiotherapy for his knee.
“He’ll return next week for pre-season training with Fiorentina. Next week I’ll be in Italy to talk with Mati, because it’s more difficult once he’s at the pre-season training camp.
“For now no-one from Milan has contacted me. Mati is on holiday, he’ll be back on July 8 and I’ll meet him for dinner to discuss everything.”
