Sebastiano Luperto’s agent says his client is “proving he can stay” at Napoli, having made his debut against Milan.
The 21-year-old was expected to be loaned out this summer, but Coach Carlo Ancelotti opted to keep him in the squad, and gave him 17 minutes against the Rossoneri.
“There’s a lot of satisfaction about his debut after years of sacrifice,” Diego Nappi told Radio Crc.

“We’re all happy because we’re always talking about young people and youth teams, but it’s really nice for a young lad to make his debut at Napoli and be ready to come in.
“We all know how versatile he is, and in modern football that’s the defining factor for a player’s success.
“Luperto has put himself at the disposal of the best and most successful Coach in the world, that’s already a source of pride.
“In terms of character he has the cool head and humility that only great players have.
“He’s forging his path at Napoli, one of the biggest clubs in Europe, and he’s proving he can stay there.
“I don’t know how it’ll go when [Faouzi] Ghoulam comes back, but right now we’re at Napoli’s disposal.”
