Udinese goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis has given up on Napoli and “will play for Watford, Newcastle United or Crystal Palace.”

The 32-year-old Greece international has 42 senior caps to his name and is ready to leave Udinese after three years to make way for Simone Scuffet.

He had been heavily linked with the Napoli job amid confusion over Pepe Reina’s future, but is now heading to the Premier League.

“Karnezis will play in England for one from Watford, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace,” agent Vasileios Panagiotakis told Calcionapoli24.it.

“The Napoli option is now definitively off the table.”

Watford would be the most likely option, as the club is owned by the Pozzo family, who also run his current side Udinese.
