Emiliano Viviano will not be signed to a contract by Inter, confirmed the goalkeeper’s agent, as they are waiting for Samir Handanovic to recover.
The former Sampdoria, Fiorentina and Sporting CP shot-stopper is a free agent, so was brought in for a medical after Handanovic suffered a hairline fracture to the little finger on his left hand.
However, the club hesitated and ultimately decided not to put Viviano under contract, as there are already Daniele Padelli, Tommaso Berni and youth team goalkeeper Filip Stankovic.

“The agreement was clear from the very start: nobody promised us anything,” assured agent Claudio Vigorelli to Tuttomercatoweb.
“The club had some problems when Handanovic was injured, but after evaluating the situation carefully, they decided to continue with the goalkeepers already in their squad.
“We were pleased to receive attention from Inter and thank them for their interest. Emiliano was one of the protagonists for SPAL last season and will continue training as he waits for the next challenge.”
